KOKRAK FINISHES STRONG AS SMASH TAKES 10TH AT TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
MIAMI – Jason Kokrak once again finished the season strong for Smash GC, shooting a 3-under 69 in Sunday’s Team Championship Final at Trump National Doral.
A year ago, Kokrak shot 68, which was the second lowest score in the field. This time, his score of 69 was one of just 11 rohnds in the 60s by the 48 players in the expanded final-round field.
After losing in match-play quarterfinals on Friday, Smash competed against three other teams in Tier 3 to determine final positions 9th through 12th.
With all four scores counting, Smash shot a counting score of even par to finish 10th overall. Ripper GC had the best score in Tier 3 at 5 under.
Along with Kokrak’s 69, captain Brooks Koepka shot a 2-under 70, with Matthew Wolff at even-par 72 and Chase Koepka shooting 77.
