SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – Smash GC Captain Brooks Koepka continued on a positive note as he gears up for next week’s Ryder Cup, shooting a 2-under 69 in Saturday’s second round at LIV Golf Chicago.

Koepka will be the only LIV Golf League regular competing in Rome, as he’ll represent the United States for the fourth time in the Ryder Cup.

Koepka is currently at 5 under through two rounds at Rich Harvest Farms, leaving him in a seven-way tie for 14th.

The captain entered the week fourth in points for the season and a low score Sunday would set him up for a top-three bonus result going into the regular-season finale in Jeddah.

As a team, Smash GC is 11 under and in solo ninth on the leaderboard, 11 shots off the lead.

Saturday’s 1-under performance failed to build on the strong start in the first round when the team was sitting tied for fifth and just three shots off the pace.

In addition to Brooks’ score, Smash received counting scores from Jason Kokrak (71) and Chase Koepka (72). Matthew Wolff shot a 75.
